“Seminar” a preview of its new project
MITTE Barcelona - Bailén 86 - 08009 - Opening 08.06.2011
CATK, founded in 2008 by Elisabeth Schulze, Sebastian Gerbert and Maik Bluhm, is an interdisciplinary design studio, which focuses on creative direction in the fields of culture, music, art, fashion and life style in general.
The idea of Seminar was born during the studio's research on new technologies for a music video. Background of this project was the simulation of cloth in virtual environments and the perception of images presented on moving textile surfaces.
As the name Seminar suggests, the project—which was sowed and cultivated—had time to grow and thrive. In more than half a year many variations were developed and a lot of images created. But in the end it felt very important to take the object from the virtual environment and make it into a tangible experience.
Seminar is launching soon, starting with a collection of 7 scarves. Now you have already the opportunity to see 3 of them in process – being printed on fabric.
